PEL Laboratories offers a range of turnaround times for both non-contract and contract clients, though there is a small difference between the two.
In terms of non-contract clients, you can think of yourself as the homeowner or business owner with a one-time test you want done—like Jessica! You haven't worked with us before, don't plan on working with us more, and want to be sure a carcinogen isn't in your space. In your case, we offer two turnaround times: Rush and 3-Day. 3-Day is self-explanatory, wherein we will get your project done within three business days. For example, if you dropped the project off on Monday, after 9AM, then your project will be done by Thursday, before 5PM. The Rush turnaround time is a bit more choosy. Provided samples are submitted before 1PM, we'll get your project done by end of day; if submitted after one o'clock, then it will be done by the end of the next business day. If Jessica from Canton, Michigan can her asbestos test results day-of, then so can you!
In terms of contract clients, you can think of yourself as the repeated visitor. You've either worked with us for years and send us a large volume of projects, or you've worked with us five times in the past couple of years. Whether you're a small flooring company that needs our services every once and a while or a major contractor that requires weekly projects, we are always happy to help. The former, Standard Commercial Client, and the latter, High Volume Client, are given discounts as well, with more regular and higher volume meaning lower pricing. These distinctions are often re-evaluated as we build our relationship with a client and may be upgraded/downgraded to either status depending on sample volume throughout the year.
We've already discussed Rush and 3-Day, which work the same way for all our clients. There are a few other options for our more regular clients. One-Day/24-Hour Turnarounds can be thought of as the "next day" option, where you'll receive results by the end of the next business day. If you drop off a 24-hour on Monday, you'll receive your report Tuesday. 2-Day Turnarounds are two business days; if you drop off your project Monday, you'll receive your report Wednesday. 3-Days have already been discussed. Finally, our budget friendly and/or no-rush option is the 5Day/Week Turnaround; you can think of this as "I want this within one business week." If you dropped off your samples for this turnaround on Monday, you'd receive results by next Monday. Weekends are not taken into account for any of the above turnaround times.
